Landmark Onlays An Affordable and Chic Way to Enhance a Space

Kitchen renovations are among the most expensive and extensive home projects, but it’s possible to breathe some new life into your tired kitchen or interior space without breaking the bank and with minimal effort.  Ideal for a variety of substrates, Landmark’s decorative onlays can turn an average backsplash or wall into a signature masterpiece.

With a rich history of use that continues today, Landmark onlays feature many of the old styles preserved over time as well as some contemporary pieces for a more urbane look. From swirling filigrees reminiscent of the decor of the French court to traditional acanthus leaves and grapes of the Greek and Roman architectural style, all Landmark tile (including 1×1’s sanded on sides and bottom) and plaques can be featured as onlays.

Ideal for wall applications (plaster or drywall), finishing touches on wood cabinets, range hoods and mirrors or creating a dramatic focal point on the fireplace mantel, metal onlays are the perfect embellishment to add a touch of drama to your space.  And don’t forget your exterior spaces.  Pools, patios and BBQ areas adorned with select Landmark pieces take on a custom high-end look for a minimal cost.

All onlays can be cut or drilled and installed using a silicone adhesive or mastic.  Be sure to use an adhesive that is compatible with the substrate with which you are working.  For instance, mastics work well for metal, drywall and rough surfaces while a 2-part epoxy works well on smooth stone, glass or ceramic.  When applying our tile to a moist area such as showers or pools, a clear bead of silicone around the onlay will keep moisture from getting in.
