Care Instructions

Landmark Metalcoat's metalcoating is 95% real metal and is considered to be a living finish.  As the metal ages, it will take on its own natural look.  To avoid damaging the metal finish and to protect the natural beauty of the finish, please follow the Care Instructions carefully.

FOR HIGH POLISH AND HIGHLIGHT POLISH

These finishes have no protective coating and will oxidize and age naturally.

• Never use harsh cleaners (such as Lysol®, Pine Sol® or Bleach) or soft scrub cleaners. Harsh chemicals

  may damage the finish.

• To avoid water spots, dry all surfaces after each use.  To further protect from moisture, use a no-wax
  spray formula
(such as Pledge®) after cleaning or non-abrasive GOJO® hand cleaner.

• Unwanted patina and water spots may be removed by carefully applying non-abrasive GOJO® hand
  cleaner with extra
fine steel wool. Buff with a soft cloth.

• If you wish to polish a tarnished high polished tile, use a product such as Cape Cod® Metal Polishing
  Cloth (brochures
are available from Landmark) or a non-chalking metal polish.

FOR ANTIQUE, OIL RUB, VERDI, RUST AND WROUGHT FINISHES

These finishes have been oiled to enhance and seal the finish.

• Never use harsh cleaners (such as Lysol®, Pine Sol® or Bleach) or soft scrub cleaners. Harsh chemicals
  may
damage the finish.

• Mineral oil or an oil based polish or cleaner may be used to maintain an oil rubbed appearance and
  minimize spotting.
To remove unwanted green (due to moisture) from antique and oil rub finishes use
  non-abrasive
GOJO® hand cleaner with a soft cloth.

• Extra fine steel wool may be used to remove excess verdi or to lighten oil rub and antique finishes.
  Gently rub tile until
finish is achieved. Buff with non-abrasive GOJO® hand cleaner and soft cloth.

FOR CLEARCOATED FINISHES

 • All sinks (except rust) have a protective clearcoat.  This coating helps to protect the finish from water
  spots and the
natural effects of aging.

• Plaques with a High Polish Blackened finish have a protective clearcoat.  This coating helps protect the
  finish
during installation.

• Never use harsh cleaners (such as Lysol®, Pine Sol® or Bleach), soft scrub cleaners or abrasive
  sponges, as these may
damage the clearcoat.

• To avoid water spots, dry all surfaces with a soft cloth.  For cleaning and added protection nonabrasive
  GOJO® hand
cleaner may be used as a barrier between clearcoat and moisture.
